Terms and Conditions
1. Rental Agreement
By booking and renting equipment from Tennis Ball Machine Hire Sydney, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. The rental period begins at pickup and ends when all equipment is returned and checked.
This is a small, independently run rental service based in Sydney. If you have questions or special requests, please get in touch and we will do our best to help.
2. Equipment Included
Each rental includes:
- Spinfire Pro 2 tennis ball machine
- Remote control
- 100+ balls
- Battery + charger
- Ball bag and cover
- Ball pickup tube
- Quick start guide
All items must be returned together at the end of the rental period.
3. Pickup and Return
- Pickup location is in Barangaroo, Central Sydney.
- Exact pickup address is shared after booking.
- This is a pickup-only service. No delivery is offered.
Standard pickup window: 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Standard return window: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Pickup and return are by appointment within these windows. If you need a different pickup or return time, please get in touch in advance. Alternative arrangements may be possible depending on availability.
4. Rental Periods Explained
- 1 Day rental: Pickup in the morning and return the same evening within the standard windows.
- Weekend (Fri–Sun) rental: Pickup Friday morning and return Sunday evening.
- Multi-day or weekly rentals: Pickup on the first day and return on the final day within the standard windows.
5. Deposit
- A refundable deposit of $200 AUD is required for all bookings.
- The deposit is held to cover late returns, damage, or loss of equipment.
- The deposit is refunded after the machine is returned and inspected, provided there is no damage or late return.
- Refunds are typically processed within 3 to 5 business days after return and inspection.
6. Care of Equipment
You agree to:
- Use the equipment responsibly and as intended.
- Follow the quick start guide and safety instructions.
- Keep the machine supervised at all times.
- Return all equipment clean and in similar condition to pickup, allowing for normal wear and tear.
7. Prohibited Use
You must not:
- Expose the machine to rain, water, sand, or wet conditions.
- Leave the machine unattended in public places.
- Use the machine on courts where ball machines are not permitted.
- Misuse, modify, or attempt to repair the equipment.
8. Weather
- The machine must not be used in rain or wet conditions.
- Exposure to rain or water may be treated as damage.
- If poor weather is forecast, please contact us as early as possible to discuss options.
9. Damage and Loss
- You are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear.
- Damage includes, but is not limited to, misuse, dropping, water exposure, or leaving the machine unattended.
- Repair or replacement costs will be deducted from the deposit.
- If costs exceed the deposit amount, you will be invoiced for the difference.
10. Late Returns
- Returns after the standard return window may incur a late fee of $50 per day (or part day). Late fees may be deducted from the deposit.
- Late fees apply once the return window has passed, not per calendar day.
- If you expect to be late, please get in touch as early as possible. In many cases, flexibility may be possible with advance notice.
11. Pickup Requirements
- Photo ID is required at pickup.
- You must have a vehicle capable of transporting the machine. The machine weighs approximately 24 kg.
- You are responsible for securing the equipment safely during transport.
12. Cancellation
The deposit is refunded in full when a booking is cancelled, unless payment processing fees apply. Refunds of the rental fee depend on how close to pickup you cancel:
- More than 48 hours before pickup: full refund of the rental fee (excluding payment processing fees if applicable).
- 24 to 48 hours before pickup: 50% refund of the rental fee.
- Less than 24 hours before pickup: no refund of the rental fee.
To cancel, contact us via email. Refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days.
13. Support and issues during hire
If the machine stops working or you have issues during your session, contact us immediately using the phone number in your booking confirmation email. Do not attempt repairs. We will troubleshoot with you and, if needed, agree on a fair outcome (for example a reschedule or partial refund).
14. Liability
Tennis Ball Machine Hire Sydney is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the rented equipment. You assume all risks associated with operating and transporting the machine.
15. Agreement
By completing a booking and payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, including deposit, late fees, damage liability, and cancellation policies.
